Job description

Do you thrive in an open culture, short lines, and a no-nonsense mentality? Then you might be the colleague we are looking for to strengthen our dynamic team. SEA-Tank Terminal is a rapidly growing tank storage company in an international environment, active in the ports of Ghent & Antwerp. We specialize in the storage of liquid goods and logistics handling for third parties.

For a new strategic project in Avonmouth, in collaboration with our partner, we are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager.

The project involves the conversion of an LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) installation to LPG (propane), including setting up the future operational management of the tank park. It is a multi-year project (± 2 years) with subsequent support of the local operational team to ensure a smooth and sustainable handover.

Your role

As a Technical Project Manager, you are responsible for the overall monitoring and supervision of the project. You act as a senior sparring partner for the local project team and report directly to the management of SEA-Tank.

Tasks:

  • You monitor the overall progress, planning, budget, and milestones;

  • You create a strong sense of urgency within the project;

  • You challenge the local team on quality, efficiency, and meeting deadlines;

  • You work closely with the local project manager;

  • You report periodically to the management on progress, risks, and decision points;

  • You guide the project from detailed engineering, through the construction phase, to completion and the first weeks of operations;

  • After completion, you support the local operational team to ensure a smooth transition.

So, your focus will not be on the daily operational management.

You will work from Avonmouth, with occasional trips to the project team in Antwerp and the engineering firm in Spain.
